SUDS Adaptive Hiking Spring 2026: Shenandoah Trail Event Recap
On April 5–6, 2026, eleven wounded servicemembers gathered in the Shenandoah Valley for the SUDS Spring Adaptive Hiking Event — a two-day trek across eight miles of accessible trail designed to challenge each participant at their individual capability level.

About the SUDS Hiking Program
The SUDS adaptive hiking program accommodates participants with lower-extremity prosthetics, bilateral limb loss, chronic pain, and mobility aids. Trails are pre-scouted for surface quality, incline grade, and rest point availability. Certified wilderness first responders accompany every group.
